In trying to put a few photos onto my husband's 3GS iPhone from my MacBook Pro, somehow I managed to put part of my Photo Library onto his phone and now I cannot delete it. I can't even delete the photos one by one. How can I delete the entire Photo Library off of his phone????

Photo library photos, which are synced from your computer to your phone, must be removed by connecting your phone to iTunes, then going to the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings, deselecting the folders you no longer want (or deselecting Sync Photos if you want to remove them all), then syncing your phone.

This all seems very good advice....but I get lost rite at the very first part of "log into itunes and go to the phone icon on the left hand side". My itunes just doesnt seem to have this?

This did not help me at all. Instead, it deleted over 400 pictures from my phone that are now gone forever. I am so sad.
Doesn't work, it deletes the uploaded photos as well, any other suggestions?

Never a fan of the iTune's way of files sync .
The only way around this is to send the photos from your pc/mac as an email attachment and then save the photo to the camera roll that way. That is how I have done it. Annoying, stupid and yet another example of apple not trusting it's users to be able to do things themself without it creating a folder or 10 that cannot be deleted.
Here's my problem. That is showing me my Camera Roll. Not the "Photo Library."
Also, when I look at the information in iTunes of my iPhone 4S, it says I have 18GB free. Yet, when I go on my phone, I have less than 1GB. It's all because of the photos in "Photo Library."
And, no. I do not have it checked in iTunes, nor do I have a folder named "Photo Library."

Nope, don't get this. I've cleaned out Photostream, and the camera roll, but there are 210 photos still showing on the iPhone (4S - IOS6.1) in the Photo Library. There appears no way of deleting them They don't show in any Mac Apps (Preview, ImageCapture or iPhoto) only and only on the iPhone. It's almost worse on the iPad. You can go into Photos, Edit, select the pic - and the Delete button is there but greyed out! most infuriating. Likewise they don't show in Image Capture or any other app. am I honestly going to have to look in Windows for this? Oh No! Guess what? They don't show up in Windows either! What on Earth is Apple doing not allowing a delete from this app?
Any suggestions anyone on getting rid of these?
hi guys, ive looked through the posts and a couple relate to my problem, just done a factory restore on my iphone and now when ive come to import my pictures back in it keeps doing 2 lots all the time. ive tried the empty folder trick and it worked but then when i create my new folder which i want on my iphone called iphone pics it also creates photo library with exact same pictures in! any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
