Your solution doesn't make any logical sense, but it worked! How did you find this out?
Well, actually i still have the "photo stream" album on the iphone (got rid of the rest, uff, its already good), does any one know hoe to delete it?

The "Camera Roll" and "Photo Stream" are perm files/albums on your phone and cannot be deleted.
You can delete the photos in the Photo Stream completely, but the physical album will stay in your device.
To clear out/delete your photo stream photos, go into your "Settings", then "photos", then slide the Photo Stream button to "Off". You also have to go into your cloud (icloud.com) and sign in. In the upper right corner, where your name is, click on that, then click on the "Advanced" tab and click on "Reset Photo Stream".
Everything is trial and error, but hopefully its clear enough to help you all.

Thanks Sooooooo much. I had bought an used Iphone and the pictures were in the Iphone library were so nasty. I am so glad to have gotten rid of them. Then after that I simply deleted the folder from my computer. Thanks again!

I'm SO glad this is helping you all!! Good karma all around! @lisamac03- do you mean the pics from your phone folder into your computer folder? If so, that should automatically happen when you sync your phone on your computer.

yes! I am useless. I have the folder on a PC and when I open it I have another saying ipod photo cache. I am concerened when I plug my iphone into my imac at home i will lose all of my photos from iphotos which were originally on iphone. I am a completley useless with Apple even though I have had the hardware for years! Help!
Can I transfer this folder onto a CD and import if I lose them to my imac?
BTW your guidance was spot on!

Unfortunately, this fix did not work for me ... when I created the Empty Folder as suggested - ALL photo folders except the Camera Roll went away. I tried copying the two folders I wanted on my iPhone to the Empty Folder album, but then I get them and the Photo Library folder (with flower icon) again ... with duplicates of all the photos in the other two albums ... very frustrasting that one can not control this photo album stuff ... one of the features I do not like about Apple products.

Woohoo! It worked! That has been driving me crazy! I tried the Apple method a few times. It kept warning me that all synced pictures would be removed from my phone--which is what I wanted--but they were still there!
Thanks for an easy solution. ~Jason

On my MacBook, I went into iPhoto and created an empty folder. Then when I synced my iPhone, that was the only photo folder I selected. After syncing the phone, the Photo Library folder was gone, but my camera roll is fine.
