Seems pretty Mac-specific and I don't think it is still supported 3 years later. (iSync is way beyond legacy 😉)

Maybe you can explain this then: it appears it needs a hotspot to function; my iPad does not have that capability since it is only WiFi - so how would Bluetooth work there?

I guess it is quite unfortunate that you weren't here with your sage advice 3 years ago, when the question was asked.
