Why does my new iPod nano 5th Generation not have 24 hours of battery life?

My (very) recently purchased iPod nano 6th Generation has only about 1 hour of battery life. It promises 24 hours of battery life.

iPod nano (6th generation), iOS 5.1.1, I bought the device 2 days ago.

ya, the apple mension that the nano can last for 24 hour

it is true but just for the following condition:

-not sliding you screen so often

-decease the brightness till lowest

-limit the sound

-turn off the nike+

-and turn off the screen

you can try not to turn on the screen and just control your ipod by pressing the button

see whether it can last for longer or not

if not, that means the battery have a problem,u can replace a new one with apple within 3days~
