MAC asks to restart when firewire device is added before turned on.

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53) Processor 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon and it asks me to restart anytime I start it up with my M-audio pro fire 610. I have tried every firewire port.

The m-audio has worked on my other tower, this new one will not work.

what can I do? please please help!

just checked with M-audio and the Profire 610 might not be compatible with 10.7.4 ..YET...

It also mentions not "hot plugging" firewire stuff, that is unplugging and pluggin' it in when your computer is still running... however, there is an update for 10.7.3 if that helps. sorry, that's the best I can do for now
