I cannot get my computer to recognize my Brother HL-2270DW printer. I had once been able to print without any issues, but since updating from 10.7 to 10.7.3 It has not been working. When i try to reinstall it, i recieve and error message that is attached.
Any ideas? Does this mean that the software will eventually be availble? Any help would be appreciated.

That is really annoying and should not happen. For a potential workaround, try this: delete the printer in Print & Scan by selecting it and clicking the "–" (minus) button. Then, add it again using its IP address as in the following screenshot.
For "Print Using" select the driver from the list. Hopefully the HL-2270DW series will appear. If it does not, download the CUPS driver from this link:
Select OK, then Add, and you should be able to print.

I can even access the printer through the web interface at the IP address/printer and print a successful test page, but for some reason can not add it to my OSX list of printers.

You helped me get my HL2270DW printer working wireless a few months ago. I then got the same model printer working at my son's small business office where he has 3 or 4 computers using the wireless printer.
He just moved all of his equipment to another offive & is using another router. He cannot print since the move. I am going over to work the problem for him & wanted to draw up a plan first, since I have forgotten some of the details of what I did.
I assume the printer has a different IP address since the move & I will need to set up a new printer (add printer) on each computer to use the new IP.
My question, is this the likely problem & the right way to procede? Is there another way to find the printer IP other than opening the Router in my browser?
