I have been trying to use the personal hotspot for a few months and, while it works for a short time and does so as long as I am constantly using the connection, if I let the device (ipad2) alone for five minutes the connection drops and I have to go back to the iphone4, wake it up, go back to the iPad and go back into settings for it to kickstart the connection again. I've trawled the forums and done all the silly work arounds such as leaving the iPhone on the settings section but it still does not work. I know it's a 'free' facility but it's really annoying that it's been going on so long. I've used different iPhones as the hotspot and different devices but all behave exactly the same. I'm just awaiting the next big 'game changing' announcement at the WWDC but am losing faith in apple with regards to issues like this. Apple TV2 is another but don't get me started on how much that thing *****. We buy in to these Products and facilities but they seem to go by the wayside and are ignored by apple who then just bring out the next wonderful idea... I just wonder how widespread this problem is?
