objcopy equivalent?

Hi,

I'm trying to get a Linux app running under OS X that relies on objcopy from GNU binutils. Specifically, this app (LSE from http://liberty.cs.princeton.edu) uses objcopy's "--redefine-syms" option to rename a bunch of symbols in one of their support libraries prior to linking it with the user's object files. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I thought I'd see if anyone here might know if OS X has a command-line util that might provide similar functionality?

Thanks,
Derek

You could always grab the source and compile it yourself, but I just checked fink and darwinports - it appears darwinports has what you need already compiled and ready to download (you'll have to install the ports infrastructure first - but that is well documented on their web site.)

It's called FSF Binutils - but points to gnu's web site.
