Photos for MacPlease provide more details such as exactly what printers you are trying and exactly what methods you are using to install them.
However I think you would benefit by using both:
Printer and scanner software for Snow Leopard & Lion

Jun 8, 2012 7:15 AMby paulfromfredericksburg,I finally fixed the problem...there aren't enough USB ports on the iMac so I bought this 7 port hub that I thought was pretty good and come to find out it apparently wasn't putting out enough juice to carry the printers. I disconnected and switched some cables on the iMac and plugged the two printer cables in there and voila...it worked...both printers are now working.
