Trying to download an updated App

I had an old copy of Mavis Beacon Typing tudor. When I went to upload the latest (after I paid for it) it said I already had it installed. So I deleted the app, all the files in Library/app support and Library/preferences (then restarted my machine) and I still cant get the App store to allow me to download the app. Any ideas?
