Just installed OSX10.6.8. Have Canon MP620. Get error "printer offline." Printer working fine from another computer. MP620 is supported printer.

    The offline message is a result of the Mac not being able to communicate with the printer. This is often caused by the USB cable so to check it, disconnect the MP620's USB cable from the Mac and open Print & Fax and remove the MP620 entry. Then reconnect the USB cable. If the USB cable is okay then the Mac will "see" the MP620 and automatically add it to Print & Fax again. If there is an issue with the cable then the Mac will not detect the printer is attached and therefore will not add it. In the this case, try another USB cable (and ensure it is connecting directly to the Mac and not via some USB hub).
