Yellow exclamation point in a triangle ?
Hi everyone,
Why is there a yellow exclamation point in a triangle, appearing beside an Event Library file in FCP X?
Thanks,
Steve

Usually means a missing file. A screen shot of the Event Library and browser would help.
Hi Tom,
Thanks for responding.
Please find below a screen shot of the Event Lib. as well as the browser.
When editing and playing in the browser it works absolutely fine, however, when selceting Share and burn onto a DVD it either burn only image with no sound or the progress box pops up saying, Failed.
Not sure what you've done, but notice the event is an XML, maybe imported from somewhere else and is on your system drive. Perhaps the original media in the event is linked to media on another and the alias link has been broken. I'm guess because the symbol means that something is missing in the event.
I had imported that sequence from my FCP 7 via 7toX for Final Cut Pro.
Perhaps as you suggested this could be that the media on the main (mother-file) is offline or broken. Am going to look into it right away and write back.
Thank you for your time,
Steve
Hi Tom,
By right clicking on the exclamation mark and going to RELINK I got all the missing files retrieved and that has been sorted. The only thing now is that as I have marked around the area with a square shape, that logo/marking is there which I sense is something to do with the sound but I right clicked on that and also retrieved three missing sound files and got them retrieved, however, the sign is still there.
That means the project was altered since it was last exported.
