iSync, iTunes and vodafone Motorola SLVR L7

Hi!
I just bought a new SLVR L7. The problem is, it comes with vodafone flash OS, and I tried to sync with iSync tru bluetooth. But It doesn't been recognized! When i paired both devices tru bluetooth, my iBook doesn't recogniced any service.

Do someone knows if there's a problem with the mobile, with the System from the phone, or there's a known bug tru both devices?

ibook g4, Mac OS X (10.4.5)

It seems that Motorola did something with some of its latest revision of its latest phones with Bluetooth that prevents your Mac to properly discover the services on your phone. Since Mac OS X has no problem with all phones except some very new Motorola phones, I would say: this is Motorola's fault. Since those phones still seems to work "OK" on Windows, Windows does something different than MacOS X that does not trigger that behavior. Note that "apparent proper behavior with Windows" is not a proof of "technical" correctness of the phone but it's a proof that a computer can still operate in some way with that phone. The question is: how much hideous should be the workaround for Apple?

So: you can complain to Motorola and request Apple to understand the problem and provide some work-around that does not break the "ease-of-use" of the whole OS. (Of course, Motorola will deny anything and tells it's Apple fault).

Yep, I just bought a Vodafone branded SLVR L7 a few weeks back and experienced the same problem. It seems that only the Cingular branded SLVR's are the only ones supported by Apple at the moment, which makes sense due to the iTunes support.

However I've found that I could import my Address Book to the SLVR via a USB cable. However it took a few attempts to get this to work, as at first iSync recognised my phone via USB but the syncing failed. I ended up deleting my iSync preferences, restarting my Mac and then it imported the contacts only.

At this point you can either wait for improved support from either Apple or Motorola or you can re-flash your phone with a newer OS that has improved support (NB: I haven't done this myself). There's plently of resourses out there for Motorola modding and Google should turn up a few for you.
