New iMac won't zoom with ctrl scroll

Hello, I just have take out the box my new iMac (It says that its the later 2011 model), that came with lion, the first thing I do was download the updates, then I took my time to download chrome and all my media, but when I was trying to make zoome in in chrome, I realize thath I can't; the option for control (^) and scroll for zoom was on, so I was looking for an answer, and I find that with a restart it can work, but not for me! some ideas?

iPad 2, iOS 5.1

Check System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing tab > Zoom: Options... button > check "use scroll wheel with modifier keys to zoom. ^

Or Sustem Preferences > Mouse

Check the box for "Zoom using scroll wheel whilst holding ........... " and ensure the dropdown is set to Control.

Click on options and ensure the zoom behaviour you prefer is selected.

Hmmm I was trying to do this, but I realize that I don't have anything like that, in fact if I write zoom on the search part in preferences, it say's: zoom wiht the mouse, but when I click it and open the menú on any of the 2 tabs I have something about the zoom with ctrl, only an option of the smart zoom but that's it.

I guess the options may have changed a bit in Lion;

Cue another Lion user to confirm?

For me too, the scroll-with-modifier-key-to-zoom functionality often fails and I have to deselect it and reselect it in the pref-pane to get it working again.
