i know this sound simple but i don't know...  has anyone used the calibrate setting under "displays"?  my screen never seems right when i have photos printed.  i have used four different labs and each time the print does not match my screen.  either way too dark or way too light on print.   how many bars should i have when i click the 'brightness" button (f2)  what is default?

thanks for your help.

i wanted to add (after comparing the last few hours) my monitor is not only brighter but it has a coolish tint almost bluish,  where as the printed photos are very warm.  it is really noticable in "whites"  i compared three different labs.

i found one lab, winkflash.com that was the closes but still warmer.  how would you wam up your colors(not in editing but the desktop brightness)?

    thank you.
