Do you have the iPhone in your possession?

Do you have Email Accounts enabled as a restriction on the iPhone which should prevent your son from turning Find My iPhone off with the iCloud account settings on the iPhone.

I don't believe there is a restriction for turning Location Services off. If he turns Location Services off, you can't locate the iPhone with Find My iPhone, the same if Cellular Data is turned off.

That is not what I asked.

I asked if you have Email Accounts enabled as a Restriction on the iPhone which should prevent your son from turning Find My iPhone off with the iCloud account settings on the iPhone. If Find My iPhone is turned off with the account settings on the iPhone, it is off and the iPhone can't be located.

You need the iPhone in your possession to check if Find My iPhone is enabled with the iCloud account settings on the iPhone and for the restrictions you have enabled on the iPhone. You can't do this remotely. If he knows how this works and you don't have Email Accounts enabled as a restriction on the iPhone, all he needs to do is turn Find My iPhone off with the iCloud account settings on the iPhone when away.
