iPhoto cannot be opened [...] Check with developer version.

Hi there,

My iPhoto, in fact my whole iLife '11 suite, doesn't want to open. This happened suddenly, no updates nor major changes to the OS/application has been made that would explain this problem.

When double clicking on iPhoto icon in dock, icon jumps a couple of time, stops and a error pop-up appears saying

"iPhoto cannot be opened because of a problem.

Check with the developer to make sure iPhoto works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X.

Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."

Mac OS X Version is 10.7.4

iPhoto '11 bought in App Store.

Steps done so far (and unsucessful)

- Deleted iPhoto app and reinstalled using appstore

- Deleted iPhoto app, receipts and reinstalled using appstore (receipts in /private/var/db/receipts)

- Deleted iPhoto app, receipts and reinstalled from iLife '11 DVD and updated to latest version.

- Re-installed combo update 10.7.4. after downloading it from Apple website

- Repaired permissions

- Repaired disk

- Rebooted at every step.

Other "symptoms"

iCal'11 generates the same error, but not iMovie '11 which launch normally..both Installed from iLife'11 CD.

Need help!

Thanks.

You've been through all the troubleshooting steps - up to and including re-applying the recent update. If you were gettting a crash then a crash report might help identify if a particular framework was the issue, but you don't even get to there. So, what's left? It's not the app (as it's been correctly reinstalled) it's not the recent update and so on. So, what's left?
