Q: How to clean the exterior of my mpb?

no the screen, but the metal and keyboard. With my old plastic windows laptops I just turned it off, and used rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. It cleans away anything sticking to it, disinfected it, and dried instantly. But will it react with any sort of finish on the metal of the mbp body?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

The macbook pro's have an anodized aluminium body which makes it quite sturdy .. A damp cloth will mostly do the trick ..I use my screen cleaning liquid also for the rest of the notebook and it did not affect it in anyway the last two years , also a few times I've rubbed it with alcohol to remove some stains ..

Anodized aluminium is quite a strong finish (used in car & bike parts) so as long as you act with some common sense you should be ok ..
