I want to get an ipad (3rd generation), and have a few concerns

I am planning to get an ipad 3rd generation and I have been hearing about issues like overheating, long battery charging duration (almost not charging if used while plugged in), and a less coverage range for the wireless conenectivity as compared to ipad 2.

  • Are these issues significant enough to stop me from getting one? (especially battery & wireless issues)
  • Shall I get ipad now or shall I wait till apple addresses these issues?
  • I heard there is a possibility of total refund by apple within a certain amount of time in case I'm not satisfied about the product. Is that true? Can I get a refund at apple's service center in Dubai, UAE?

The issues you describe have affected only a very small number of iPads. If you get an iPad with a major issue, you can return it within 14 days for a full refund. You get a 1 year warranty on both the iPad 2 & iPad 3.

What are all the differences between the iPad 3rd Gen and the iPad 2? Is the iPad 2 worth the cost savings?

Further to TMM. There is no point in purchasing a device with the lose idea of returning it for a refund within 14 days. Have you experimented with a friend's iPad or even one on display in an Apple store? If you even Google 'Apple iPad tutorials' you might get some further enlightenment.

I recommend the 32gb model at the very least.

These problems aren't enough from stopping a person get the new iPad because it does not exactly OVERHEAT. It just heats up a bit more but won't cause any issues. Charging may be an issue but not an issue to stop you getting an iPad.

By the way I got my iPad from Dubai, UAE at the Dubai mall. And gave me international warranty.
