Why do I get error message "There was a problem uploading a presentation"

I've tried to upload a Keynote presentation to iCloud by dragging it from my Mac and dropping it into Keynote on iCloud. It begins to upload but within 10 seconds I get an error message:

There was a problem uploading a presentation

Try again later

I've tried half a dozen times.
