Trash won't empty

Hi friends,

I have about 90 files in me Trash and when i went to click 'empty trash', it started but then seems to get stuck halfway, or 1/3 of the way etc. So i clicked the X to stop it, but then it didn't stop immediately. So i went to 'Force Quit' Finder/Trash and tried again. Same problem. I've restarted my laptop, i have shut it down waited 5 mins and turned back on again, but nothing is working.

Any ideas why Trash won't empty, and how do i fix it?? Appreciate the help x

Press and hold the Option Key then Empty Trash.

If that does not work, look here.

Option Key doesn't seem to do anything.. i really wish there was a way to fix the problem without downloading an app though.. any new ideas? x

yes and i did the Terminal thing but i got to a point where i couldn't remove files, it just kept entering empty space..

i have no idea really. this is so frustrating. i blame Spotify..
