I have an alert button next to the mac app store dock logo stating that I have 1 update available and when I go into the app store I am told that I have 1 available update for Aperture but Aperture is already up to date (Version 3.2.4) and the install option is greyed out.

How do I resolve this?

Hi Bryan ...
Try restarting your Mac.
If that doesn't help, delete the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store to test.

I tried both restarting my mac and trashing the cache.db file but non of these seem to have worked.
Any other suggestions?
