Q: Error code 4ROM/2/40000009: 0xa9dae618 - what does it mean?

I've been having lots of kernel panics lately, and can't for the life of me fix the problem - have tried basically everything recommended on the internet.

I just ran the AHT and receive the code above. I've no idea what this relates to (4MEM is Ram..?)

Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks!
Ollie

It could be an indication that the Boot ROM is damaged and the Firmware needs to be re-written.

I suggest you see what the Genius Bar has to say about it. Appointment required, but the visit is free.

Ok thanks - Genius Bar said it might be the logic board possible problem with graphics card, but not 100% sure. With the logic board being one of the most expensive parts to replace I was hoping to try all other options before going that route.. bummer!
