I am unable to sync a new calendar in ical with iCloud. The iCloud location is not available.

Sorry, could you please explain what you mean when you say that the iCloud location is not available.
In this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5029 it notes how to resolve a sync problem.
First go to iCl calender and on the new calendar "get info" Up pops a box with several fields one named Location. In the articule it tells you to select iCloud. When I perform this action there is only MobileMe as a location and no iCloud.
Have you migrated your mobile me account to an iCloud account yet.

I moved off Mobileme but the iCloud location is still not available.
If you have migrated to iCloud, you shouldn't have a mobile me account showing unless it's another one, are you logged into your iCloud account in system preferences, do you have calendar syncing enabled.
Hi Mr Churchill Fixed it. You first have to log out of iCloud then shut iCal. Log onto iCloud and let it sync then open iCal. Let it update and then close it. Open it up again and it now you can share calendars.
The iCloud location does not appear in Australia.
