I supposedly opted out of iad, which iad confirmed But iAd  continues accessing my phone. When I tried to opt-out this way, the message said I didn't have an iPhone (I do!) Is IAd misleading

When I tried to opt out using this article on my iPhone 4S I was told I was unable to opt out because I didn't have an iOS device

I just tried this and I think it is broken. I successfully opted out, but when I tried to opt back in (using the same link as per the instructions), I got the message "Opt-out unsuccessful" together with "this is not an iOS device".

So now I am not sure whether I am opted out or in, not that I much care either way.

But, as the article makes clear, opting out of iad isn't going to stop you getting iads in all circumstances.
