In Safari: View>Show Toolbar.
Thanks, but that's not available. Under View, there is only >Hide Toolbar and that is grayed out.
Are you talking about the main Apple bar?
You may have safari in full screen mode.
If you are in full screen shove the cursor to the top of the screen and click on the blue blue in the upper right corner. Then stop down to your local bookstore and get some books on Macs and Mac OS X.
You are correct that the mode is "full screen", however since I can still see the URL bar and tabs, I would have considered this a "maximized" window rather than "full screen" to put it in PC speak.
It appears that I need to exit "full screen" and manually adjust my window to achieve the display that I want.
As a side note, firefox is giving me what I want without the need for manual adjustments, but there are some other issues with that browser.
Appreciate the responses.
Just on a side note, I would recommend using Google Chrome as your default browser. I don't know how it works in fullscreen mode, though.
Thanks--I'm traveling right now and if I try to do a google search in any browser except Safari, it gives me results based on my IP address in the language of the area. So, I have to use Safari on the road (if I need to search for anything) and will check out Chrome when I get back.
to Keep the Upper Most Toolbar from DISAPPEARING in SAFARi
place your cursor at the top of Safari
When the Toolbar "bounces" down into View
Click onto the DOUBLE ARROW to make Safari FULL SCREEN
if Safari comes up as a small little window place the cursor onto the edges to "DRAG" out the Safari Window to your preference.
Walla
Your new Safari will have the Upper tool bar displayed.
