I created an appledid for the ipad i received as a gift but when I go to get updates the previous owner's apple ID comes up and her password is required. How can I correct this? Thanks. Philomena

Apps (and other content) is tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded it, and they can't be copied or transferred to a different account - so only that original account will be able to update its apps. You can log out of the currently logged in account by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and you can then log in with your account, but you are probably best off removing those apps that were downloaded via the other account (your account won't be able to update them, and unless that account is authorised on your computer's iTunes then you won't be able to copy them off the iPad anyway).

I got ipad as a gift. I cannot change the former owner's appleid...xxxxxxxxxx.I have one xxxxxxxx but when i try to do updates, her appleid comes up. Please help! Thanks.
