change email address

First you need to change it with Apple. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

Hi there. I know this message is old, but I am having the same problem. when I go to Settings>iCloud and scroll down, I don't have "Delete Account" as a option, I only have the option to "sign in" or "Get a Free Apply ID"

You can only delete an account from your device once you have signed in.

What if you want to change your apple ID email to your rescue email. I keep getting an error saying that I can't change my primary email address to my rescue email. Do I need to change my rescue email? Is that even possible to change?

I shouldn't have to create a whole other email address just to change my primary email address right?

Austel91 - Did you get an answer to your question? It seems the trail goes dead. I have the exact same issue and can't seem to find the appropriate steps.
