Q: iOS 6 Help, iPhone 4 is inoperable.

To whomever it concerns,

I am currently a new member in the iOS Apple Developer Program. I forgot that in order to install pre-release software, I need to register the UDID of my device before installing any pre-release software (In this case, iOS 6 beta on my iPhone 4). I unfortunately did not do this. I installed iOS6 beta on to my iPhone and now it is inoperable. My iPhone deactivated and it shows a message saying that my device is not registered to the iOS Developer Program and that if I'm a current member of the Developer Program, that I need to register my device. I then registered my device and rerestored my iPhone, but I still get the same message that my device is not registered. Is there anyway I can get my iPhone to work or do I have to wait till the official iOS 6 release in the fall?

Studio iGO,

Register your device, and then let it be for like 30mins-1hr. Then try reinstalling, and it should work.

But in order to register, you need to access UDID number which I can't because of the issue you brought up...

Am I missing something?

You can find the UDID number of your device in the Organizer in xCode, which is located at the top right of xCode. You can also find it on iTunes, in the Sync page where the serial number and your phone number are at.

I have this same issue but my phone is inoperable and on my computer I do not know how to reinstall the software for this image pops up. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Hi,
try this. my solution to solve the problem.

go to the iOS Provisioning Portal (DELETE the Device AND then ADD Device again ) and submited it.

you did a itunes backup? good. UUID is the 40 char in the following path
C:\Users\xxxxx????\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
( Windows 8 RPreview )

For me, then it was working.

Here is how I solved the problem.

-Fire up System Profiler

-Check USB secion

-Find your iPad

-Get the Serial# info.

Use the info you found to register the device in provisioning portal site.

Done!

You can find your Mac's UUID number in xCode in the Organizer.The Organizer is located at the top right of xCode.

HELP, i am in the same situation.. stuck on this page with both iphone and itunes.. Heres the catch tho, i am not a dev member and am not willing to become one at this point because i have iso 6 already without a dev account. (google it...) but it had some bugs and i had to re-download.. but i believe i missed a step because i am stuck on this "device is not registered, esc" anyone know how i can just restore it back or just anything!
