i am getting a popping sound in final cut. when i play the audio after i import it it sound fine. than once i drag it into my time line it starts to pop. how would i fix this? i do not have sound track pro.

Convert the audio file to AIFF at 48khz, 16 bit (or whatever your Sequence settings call for) prior to importing it into your FCP project. FCP doesn't work natively with MP3 files or CD audio.

occasionally, even with 48k16bit aiff audio files you'll get a popping sound on audio edits. The solution is to add a one frame dissolve to the edit.
how would i add a one frame dissolve? to the actual audio its self?
how can i convert the audio to AIFF at 48khz, 16 bit? can i do that in iTunes?
if the clicks are happening on audio edits, then you apply a 1 frame dissolve
compressor does it very easily.
