Battery life in bootcamp was pretty bad on the last version because it was always using the discrete graphics card, I believe it never used the integrated graphics card.

I want to know if the new version will support what is know as nvidia Optimus, where you can switch back and forth between the integrated and dedicated graphics card while in windows (I.e. under bootcamp).

First off the old and new Mac's have AMD graphic chips. So I seriously doubt they support NVidia specs.

Gnubbyabush is talking about the new MacBook Pros that were released yesterday.

While I don't know about Optimus, I'm really worried about what Windows 7 or 8 is going to look like on an 2880x1800 screen. ("Windows on a Macbook?" - I know right?)

I've placed an order for the new macbook pro retina. I will be using Windows in bootcamp for work - I rang apple tech support and the guy said "i think it will have the drivers for automatic switching". He didn't seem in anyway confident so I guess the information is just not available yet. I will return the laptop for a refund if apple don't add this in and the result is crap battery life
