Jun 11, 2012 10:14 PM in response to bonitasbugby planb77,★HelpfulRead this article related to your issue. You may be trying to sync the High Definition (HD) version of the TV Show to your device. The iPod classic does not support HD content. You'll want to download the SD version instead.
iTunes: May be unable to transfer videos to iPhone, iPad, or iPod
To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available. You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

Sep 3, 2012 9:35 AM in response to planb77by Gregory Thomas1,I am having a simular problem with an original iPad. The difference is the problem is new. I watched half of the iTunes downloaded HD series without any problem on the iPad and now "The computer says no!" when I try to sync the unwatched episodes. I even restored the iPad as a new iPad. Still no luck. Incidently, the iPad restore exercise updated the iPad firmware. WHich I thought was a good thing. Any thoughts?

Sep 4, 2012 8:21 AM in response to Gregory Thomas1by planb77,Note that only the 3G iPad can download and sync 1080p HD content. So the HD content needs to be in 720p in order to be able to sync to your 1G iPad. See here for more information.

Feb 18, 2013 6:37 PM in response to planb77by StephenShutters,Thank you so much. I have been experiencing the very same problem. I have purchased both Inception and Memento from the iTunes store at different points in time, and only Inception will sync to my 160GB iPod Classic. This problem now makes sense after reading through this thread; my copy of Inception is SD, and my copy of Memento is HD.
So, is it correct that if I want Memento on my 160GB iPod Classic, I will have to repurchase it as SD? If so, this is quite annoying, to say the least.
