Signature Help!

I am creating a signature that includes several pictures (.jpg) along with text. However, when I email a new message using Mail 2.0.7 these pictures show up as attachments rather than part of the signature. This is especially problematic when I send the email to someone who uses Outlook. Does anyone have a solution where I can create a signature with text and pictures that will show up just as I have created it in the signature box?

does the rest of your email or the signature use any coloured or different sized text?

In another thread there was a similar problem to this, which could be partially solved by making sure that there is something like Italics, underlining, bold type, coloured text, different sized text etc.

If you don't already have something like that in your sig - it's well worth a try.

Another thing to try may be to arrange your signature so that the images are the last thing in it..... so that when the email is viewed, there is no text after the images.

The signature I am creating is for a company that is a "work at home" job. They specifically use PCs (Window-based, I assume) and I'm probably their "odd" person with a Mac. I can do just about everything they want with the exception of creating this signature. I spoke to the "Apple experts" (called the help line) and they could not resolve my problem. They don't think it should be any different or show up differently when I send emails to an Outlook mailbox. The interesting part is when I receive email from the company, the images are attached but do show up as part of their signature or rather within the signature. Any more help is appreciated! I've tried to change the images from jpgs to tiffs so maybe gifs might work?

jhansen,

Have tried to recreate your problem with Mail to Entourage. I used Photoshop to place a jpg in the signature and everything seems to work. At first the jpg was bordered by a hairline at top and bottom but I think I got around that by cutting the whole signature and repasting it back in the "signature building" box. I got the jpg to stick wherever it was inserted - at least it came thru great in Entourage - which is a MS product.

It does still show up as a attachment at the top of the email, but the signature itself remained intact.

Oh, and I also checked: Edit>Attachments>Always Send Windows Friendly Attachments. Don't know if that was any help or not - but it sure wouldn't hurt.
