Negotiated Link Speed on NEW MacBook Air 2012

Has anyone figured out if (finally) Apple brought the Negotiated Link Speed @ 6 Gigabit for internal SSDs on the just released MacBook Air 13 (Mid 2012).

If not, do you think the OWC Mercury Aura will still be an option on the newer models?

Another question: should I look for a thunderbolt external SSD (very expensive) or USB 3.0 will do the job (I keep all my Aperture, iPhoto and iTunes libraries on external hard drives). Right now I'm with USB 2.0 on an external 2TB WD (7200rpm) which is actually pathetic speed when working with photos.

THE REAL QUESTION IS: Do you think I will be fine with the USB 3.0? (considering a 500€ saving compared to a Thunderbolt SSD).

Thanks in advance,

L
