iPad & Siri

Can anyone tell me if Siri will be on the iPad 2 with the release of Siri?

I think I remember something about people hacking iPhone 4 to get Siri on it when it was first released and Apple were like 'it needs the more powerful A5 CPU to run properly' and the iPad 2 does have the A5 so does that mean it'll get it in iOS 6??

iPad 2, iOS 5.1, WiFi + 3G

No I am not, you don't have to be sarcastic, no one twisted your arm up your back and demanded that you reply to this thread.

When people hacked the iPhone 4 and got Siri working on them Apple's answer was "well it won't work properly because you need the A5 CPU not the A4" - guess what CPU the iPad 2 has

Plus, Siri's commands are dealt with by the server not the handset so it shouldn't matter what the processing power of the device has.

So the new iPad has an A5X CPU and iPad 2 has an A5, new iPad has a better battery than iPad 2 and the cameras and screen of the new iPad are better than the iPad 2 but other than that it doesn't seem very different to the iPad 2.

The screen and cameras aren't factors of whether Siri would work or not so they can be discounted. That just leaves the CPU and battery to consider. The A5X having a different architecture (that I'm assuming otherwise there is no point in developing it) and is probably faster and capable of handling more instructions at any given time than the A5 but Apple have already proved that the A5 is more than capable of handling Siri with the iPhone 4S.

The new iPad has a 42.5-watt-hour battery and the iPad 2 has a 25-watt-hour battery. This is a very large difference I'll admit, but the iPhone 4S has a 5.3-watt-hour battery so 25-watt-hour is more than capable of handling Siri also.

So I stick to my original statement that the iPad 2 is more than capable of handling Siri

None of this matters.

Siri will only work on the 4S and the new iPad under iOS6. Hundreds of posts discussing hardware differences, and toys being thrown out of prams and demands for explanations and redesign of the systems don't matter. They are all a waste of bandwidth and effort. Siri will only work on the 4S and the new iPad under iOS6.

Direct your efforts to stuff you can change.

You're wrong. iOS 6 hasn't been released yet and Siri is already running on the 4S, in fact it is the biggest selling point for the 4S to people that have the 4.

I know that the new iPad doesn't have it yet and that users will have to wait until iOS 6 is released in Autum.

My original question was answered swiftly and I marked the thread as answered. I merely responded with my opinion, following that others decided to comment and I am merely responding as I am being made to look thick!
