My contacts icon is blank thought this would have sync with my email contacts. When i open the contacts icon i do not have the + sign to add contacts. Does anyone know how to fix this??

Did you already try to reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

For the + sign, go to Settings>iCloud and make sure that Contacts is turned On. If you want to add Calender events, Calenders also has to be On.
Why am I unable to add contacts. No add button available??
