Need to replace optical drive ribbon cable

Opened up my Mac Pro 1,1 yesterday to dust it out a bit, pulled out sled holding 2 optical drives, then put it back into place, but it didn't seem to sit properly. When I pulled it out again, I realized I had pinched the ribbon cable & severed a few strands! Needless to say, the drives no longer work, or show up in System Profiler.

Just wondering exactly what replacement cable to look for, is it a moderately easy replacement, and of course, how can I avoid pinching the new one when putting drives back into place.

Thanks.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

This is the exact cable:

You will need to remove the optical drive carrier and the #1 hard drive carrier just below the optical drives.

A #1 Phillips screw driver is all that is needed.

Fans, memory and processor cover may also be removed.

Once the carriers are removed, the IDE cable connector to the logic board may be disconnected, allowing removal of the cable.

Installation is the opposite.
