Hi,

Everytime I startup Messages, I get ~25 popups for xxxx wants to add you as a buddy.  This pop-up is titled Yahoo! Authorization.

No matter what I do, these come up each time I start messages.  any suggestions?

    Hi,

The only way I know how to stop this is to get the Yahoo for Mac (Beta 3) which allows you to block certain people.

Blocking of Yahoo contacts ("Buddies") cannot be done in iChat 6 or Messages beta.

Thanks Ralph, I see the settings there and have checked my settings with the native client.  However, it looks like Yahoo is still allowing requests, even though the settings is block everyone except those in my buddy lists.

    Hi,

I don't really use the Yahoo side or the Yahoo App.

However it might be that Requests to be a Buddy  circumvent the "Ignore anyone who is not in my Messenger List"

I would try adding them to the Specific list.
