I have 2GB of RAm installed on my MacBook Pro but Activity Monitor only shows 1MB.
How do I correct this?

When you say it shows 1 MB do you mean free memory?
What do you see when you click the apple in the upper left corner of the menu bar and About This Mac? How much memory does that show?

I ave 1 GB RAM installed.
When I click on ABout This MAC, it shows
1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
When I click on More info, in the Memory line item, it shows 1GB.
System Profiler shows 1GB.
Then the system recognizes all of the memory that is installed, and activity monitor is telling you that you are using all of that memory. The computer will then do page in/page out swaps to the hard drive to get the operating space it needs for your software...system would run faster with more memory as 1 GB is rather low today, and save all the time being used swapping to the hard drive.

Do you really mean 1 MB? The "pie" in my activity monitor represents the full 1.5 GB of RAM I have on my computer. The colors represent how the different components are bing used, including free RAM. It's all there.

1,024.00 MB = 1 GB In other words, one thousand and twenty four megabytes equals one gigabyte (in computer mathematics working with binary where a "thousand" is really 1024).
One of your RAM chips is faulty, not seated properly or the bay is faulty. Switch the chips and see if there is a difference. If not, take one chip out and try the remaining chip in one bay than the other.

Yes, that computer only came with 1 GB RAM originally. Unfortuntely it is an earlier model and cannot support more than a total of 2 GB RAM total.

P.S. I am not sure they can edit images but I am going to suggest a host edit your post to remove the hardware identifier and serial number, for security reasons, so maybe that image will vanish completely.
