Q: in aperture, my rejected photos are not visible anymore...

After updating to a unified photo library I have noticed that in the rejected folder I can see that there are say 300 rejected photos but when I click on the album none are visible.... I have turned my ratings on to reveal all.... Still nothing... I have also gone to iphoto and unhidden all that I could, but the images don't seem to come up there either...  has anyone had any luck with their unified libraries, and getting their rejecting images back?

What "rejected" folder?  Are you referring to the iPhoto Trash?

In the new aperture update. There is a new filer for your rejected photos... It shows that there are 300 rejected photos (which is true). And when I open the folder it is empty... Also when I open a project with rejected photos in it.... The rejected photos are gone... Even when I turn my rating to show all... Also... In iPhoto... Those images are just gone!  I believe that this must be some kind of bug...

but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Same issue here. I see the new update brought out a folder called "Rejected" which I believe somewhat similar to hidden photos in iPhoto... The counter shows there are 10 but I can only see 5 when I turn on the filter for rejected photos. Is this a bug??

Same problem here, too. The online manual says that we should be able to see Rejected photos by choosing the proper option in the browser search window. All of the options in that window seem to be working properly for me except for ˆ8 (Rejected) and I presume ˆ6 (Show All).

That said, browsing, viewing, and working with my other images seems MUCH faster after upgrading to 3.3, and I'm very happy with that (and hence, I'm not inclined to be rebuilding my library just yet). Since it is giving me a count of rejected photos (785), I assume the files are still there somewhere.

I had one in my Rejected folder and it DID show up there when I opened the folder.

I didn't try opening iPhoto with the new Aperture 3.3.  Did yu get the Rejected items after trying to open the iPhoto library from Aperture (or the Aperture library from iPhoto)?

that is a possibility... Since I hadn't noticed it until after I opened Iphoto.  I wonder if the others also opened iphoto... and if anyone has a fix...

    thanks

Looks like it's partailly visible... for example, my aperture shows 10 in the rejected foler but I can only find 5 when I switch the filer to view them... can't find the rest 5 at all...and no, I didn't open iphoto library at all.

I had the same problem. I solved it with the database rebuilt.

open aperture with "alt" and "command" buttons pushed, and select rebuild database.

I am having the exact same problem. I have rebuilt the database but this did not resolve anything. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Same problem.  I selected all three options while opening Aperture, and it didn't fix it.  I have one rejected photo somewhere, and I can't find it!

Same problem too. My project shows there are 2 photos. But no one is visible even if you choose "Showing All"

    OMG!!! Apple... Apple... Apple...

I think I discover one way to bypass this problem.

The only thing that you need to do is delete your project with the "hidden" "reject" or "the name that Apple wants to give" photos.

Then the "hidden" pictures will mysteriously reappear in the trash. Now you will need to move to your Desktop and import again to Aperture...

For me it works. Hope works for you guys too...
