2012 Macbook Pro Ram upgrade requirements of Ram to be compatible?

Hello there, I just purchased a 2012 Ivy Bridge Macbook Pro, with 4gb ram. I am wondering what are the components of Ram that must be met to use with the new Macbook. would this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231472

I believe it will.


Newegg is fine but I would trust OWC to be absolutely certain you are buying the correct memory. Check it on their website and then compare prices.

The reason for my reticence is that I bought the correct specification memory from Newegg and it didn't work. I returned it for a refund and bought from OWC. Newegg's return policy is good.
