Our Airport Extreme seems to have a smaller range than before, making it impossible for devices in remote parts of the house receive internet even though they used to be able to surf with ease. Does Airport Extreme lose range over time?
It's the law of entropy. Basically, all things break down and try to roll downhill to their lowest energy levels.
After years of heat and use, those extremes take their toll. However, there is also a good chance it's just a case of interference. And unfortunately, interference tends to increase over time in our developing society.
What you can try doing is changing the channel. Sometimes just power-cycling the router helps.
