Ipad2 software updates
My ipad2 does not give me the option to check forsoftware updates when i go to settings/general ?

Hi, not sure, where could i find this info as i dont have a pc?
Setting>General>About Then look for Version. What is the number next to it?

The over the air software update is only available in ios 5 you will have to update using a computer.
ok great thanks, so what do I need to download to a PC and how do Iink it to Ipad2 if it isnt a MAC?
All you need is itunes. Then connect your iPad and select search for upgrade.
super, final question (dont think me stupid please!) canI connect my ipad to the PC over my house wi-fi or is there a hardwire connection I need to buy?
You can do that once you update, just go to itunes and select "sync this iPad over wifi."
final final, question, suppose I nowhave itunes downloaded to the PC now. Where on my Ipad2 can I find the " search for upgrade" function as this was what I was missing in the first place? 😕
on the side where it says music, movies, tv shows etc, go down and click Your iPad tab and then it should say Check for update right there.
have downloaded itunes now (my wifes PC! - dont ask!) and am looking down LHS - library, store, genius playlist etc - dont see that tab? am I in correct place ?
If your iPad is plugged in it should show up in that list
do you mean plugged into PC - do I need a hardwire connection? I have ipad2 on, PC on and open in itunes and house wifi on and linked to both (its like the wedding without the bride!)
