How come every time I open n app on my iPad it shutsdown

I would try restoring the device, or doing a hard reset.

Try other options before a Restore! Try downloading any small-sized free app, open it and then try the others.

When it's on hold the Sleep/Wake button and the home button at the same time until it turns off, then turn it on as usual. This will not delete anything from your device
