I have a Canon Vixia HFM41 video camera and am trying to use it on my Mac desktop, I can't figure out out to get the footage off the sd card and onto my computer.

I have a Canon Vixia HFM41 video camera that I am trying to figure out how to get to our MAC desktop machine and am getting the runaroun on how to accomplish this.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Take the sdhc card out of the camcorder, plug it into the side port of the iMac.

Open iMovie and import from the card. A small window should open up to let you import.
