I have owned my iPad 2 for over a year and I just started having problems with the mail app. For the last two months the app will not auto check for new mail. It checks as soon as I open the app, but when I close the mail app and work on another app it will not auto check like its suppose to do. I have 2 email accounts on this app( I have had it this way long before my problem started), both work fine, as long as I'm in the app. I have the same configuration on my iPhone and that works just fine. Anyone else had this issue and figure out a solution?
Go to Settings, Mail, Contacts Calendars, and then Fetch New Data. Making sure that Push is set to ON move down and change the settings to something you do not want, do a Reset and then go back into your settings and revert back to what you do want.
