Skype VoIP wireless handset for Mac's

Hi all,

ANY HELP OR ADVISE HIGHLY APPRECIATED AS RUN IN TO A DEAD END STREET HERE!!!

Not sure where to post this question, but decided for here (let me know if you think it belongs in another category)...

I use iChat AV 3 a lot but have recently also started to use Skype. Am thinking of getting rid of my landline and just using Skype as my telephone (the SkypeIn and SkypeOut options are brilliant).

But here is my question. I have so far only found one VoIP phone that is compatible with Mac (Firebox VoIP Cyberphone). I am looking for a "wireless" VoIP phone that is Skype and Mac compatible. Have anyone any idea where I may find one of these (I live in Germany but willing to buy from anywhere in the world). Bluetooth is an option but would prefer to have a basestation with a lead in to my Mac and then wireless from there.

Thanks, Kenneth

For skype I just use a bluetooth headset with my mac. My mac dials and have a wireless conversation.

But skype is not your best option. Skype uses proprietary connection protocols and is not compatible with other VOIP services.

I use a linksys pap2 device it allows me to connect standad telephones to my network. I use 1 wireless dect phone but with 2 lines. My incoming voip number is FREE of charge from sipgate.co.uk

I make outgoing calls with sipdiscount.com and call land line numbers all over the world free of charge. I can also call cellphones in some countries free of charge.

Skype cannot match these prices.

I Like having the freedom to use whatever voip services I choose and not have to change my hardware.
