Audio CD burning

I purchased music from the itunes store (something I have never done before) and I was pretty excited that I would be able to burn my music to a cd disk and listen to it in my car. But my car stereo will not recognize the cd. I have searched through the help files only to find out that I can only burn in MP3 format...

This just makes me crazy, I have tried transfering the files to Window Media Player but it doesn't recognize the itunes format either!!

Why purchase music I can only listen to on my computer or ipad or iphone???? I bought it and want to carry it with me on a cd!

If I purchased the rights protected cd from a store I would be able to listen to it on my car stereo!

Does any one out there know a way I can format the music to play on my car stereo??😕

Thank you. Yes I realized that I posted in the Mac section. Whoops! But I still was not able to locate my music files anywhere to burn them. So I had to repurchase them and THEN I burned them to Audio CD! The first time I burned them I did not select Audio CD so I messed up and it cost me some money to learn the process!

Oh well, I have it now and thanks again for the reply!

??? There is no need to repurchase them

They were not showing up in iTunes?

They are stored in /My Music/iTunes/iTunes media/ folder.

If they were deleted for some reason, you can redownload them for free.

Open iTunes.

Click Store on the left side.

Click Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.

This shows all your purchases and allows you to redownload them

Did you delete them after you burned them to CD the first time? If so, why?

Just leave them in iTunes.
