How do I remove this? I can find nothing is "Settings" with regards to his.

It's not a virus. It's a popup on those sites. The popup blocker in Safari reportedly doesn't block these, though can try it (Settings -> Safari) - not all popups can be blocked regardless of the platform - you as Lawrence said you just have to try to avoid the sites that have either contracted with or been hijacked by those ads.

Regards.

I believe its something virus-like. I am using an iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1.1. I have experiences this mobgifts since early June'12. The worst part is I appear not only in my Safari but in my mobile twitter too. My friend has just confirmed that he has this mobgifts on his mobile Facebook app too. And the best part is, it appear in different websites. And even on a pop-up free forum page that I have used for the past five years. And I thought Apple products are supposed to be resistive to virus-like issues like theses. I hope people in Apple is reading this.

It's not malware, as varjak paw has already indicated. It sounds like some sites you have been visiting have been somehow made to be carriers of a malicious JavaScript that redirects you to this site. That could be through malicious ads inserted in the site, it could be through hacking of the site, or it could be something else altogether.

You could try installing something like AdBlock or GlimmerBlocker, but those would only be effective if the script is part of an ad. You should also report the problem to the site(s) causing the problem, if they are legit sites, or avoid them if they are not unquestionably legit.

Edit: you could also try out JavaScript Blocker, which should help you block JavaScripts from running on certain sites.
