Hi Alesitis, I'm trying to do it your way but the problem is that I cant even change the country in the first place as I have 0.31 dollars of remaining credit on my app store and it says I have to finish them. How can I finish them? I have no registered credit card I use gift card and I can't choose to get a certain amount of money to make it 0.99 dollars to buy one app and finish my credit there. What do I do? its driving me crazy

That works, but why is this so ridiculously complex? I'm Dutch, my wife is German. My kids are bi-lingual, but because we live in Holland currently, I can't download them any German apps without having to reconfirm all my credentials.

When I'm in Germany, it changes to the German appstore seamlessly, so apparantly there's no technical reason not to offer a choice of country.

I'll sent feedback to Apple.

Hi everybody.

ı have a similar problem. I was using US Apple Store and now changed my credit card and billing info. Then chnaged my store to Tırkich store as Alesitis explained (thanks). But now I cannot reach my previously purchased apps from app store "purchased" section and also my free books on IBooks app is not working. It says, this item is not on Turkish store.

What should I do? I need to reach especially to my previously purchased apps. Any suggestion?

Thank you Alesitis, I am a Canadian living in Argentina and made the mistake of updating my phone last night. I've been able to switch countries thanks to your advice but have the same issue as Nesil - all of my apps from the past two years have disappeared as well as all of my music. Any suggestions would be appreciated

seems everyone work with Alesitis method, but my phone doesnt, i think this is a bug that apple has again, i hate those apple store distributor in different countries, they dont provide the service properly and they clam them as apple, such bs, they are only a distributor, they are never apple, apple trust the wrong team and they rip ppl off, Australia is a perfect example, all they did is market segmentation and distinquisment, i have been using apple product for years, recently i am considering switch, everytime i travel i cant downloand local app, what is this about...

Same problem here. I have a US-based app store account but spend a lot of time in the UK with an O2 mobile phone account and SIM card. All I want to do is download the myO2 app to track my usage. This would require me to switch stores, enter a UK credit/debit card (fine, but a hassle).

But I do not want all of my US-based apps to disappear, which is just a non-starter. These should be transitive. Very annoying.

For those who are still struggling even after Alesitis solution, where ,to be precise, even after changing the country/region on your device it still doesn't switch stores, but rather goes back to the original, that might simply mean that you had a previous Apple device that was registered in that country. For older devices (I had an Ipod 5 years ago in Russia ) you often make Itunes Store Apple ID so to change it you need to change the location in your Itunes. I would assume it works for the newer devices as well, since the apple products are synced with Itunes. To change the store , you need to go to Itunes > Manage > Account and in ITUNES change the region - this will automatically change the region of your device. I struggled on my Iphnoe 5 for while , till I realised there is a difference betwee Apple Store ID and Apple Itunes Store ID , which look the SAME on the IPhone .

This changed App store problem arose after updating to the latest iOS. I couldn't update apps or download new ones because I was evidently at the wrong store. After trying for over a week I finally fixed it.
